Barn on the Buffalo - Jasper, Arkansas

Welcome to the Barn on the Buffalo. We are located in the beautiful Ozark Mountains at the edge of Jasper, Arkansas.

If you've been looking for that peaceful place to get away, this is it. Picture quaint, comfortable lodging with your own private quarter mile of the Little Buffalo River frontage. Explore the large pools in our five person pedal boat or skim over the fish in our kayak. Swim, fish, enjoy a campfire or just relax in the hammack and take in the scenery.

You will be staying on
8 1/2 acres with nature trails along the river. The local beaver have even built a dam just for you to visit! Enjoy wildlife such as mink, rabbits, deer, turkeys and elk.

There's plenty of bass at the fishing hole and even a bluff at the swimming hole for the more adventuresome.

The Buffalo River and the Little Buffalo River are known for their great canoeing. There are many places close by to rent a canoe for an hour or the day.

The serenity of this setting makes the Barn on the Buffalo a natural favorite for writers and artists to retreat for a weekend or even a week. Imagine a comfy, cozy, newly converted hay barn surrounded by a lovely meadow.

The barn itself is actually a refurbished pole barn. You will be amazed at the charming decor that includes

The barn sleeps nine comfortably with three beautiful bedrooms in the first unit. The second unit is seperated by a large storage area for privacy and sleeps four. Rent both sides for a family renuion!

We provide dishes and linens. All you will need is groceries for your stay. We also have Culligan water on hand for you.

Enjoy the short 300 foot stroll through the meadow to the river. Have a campfire on the shore. Swing in the giant oak tree. Bring your family/group or come by yourself.

Quiet, secluded and still a short 1/2 mile from downtown Jasper with restaurants and plenty of shopping. Being in the center of the Ozarks, there is always plenty to do - from Victorian villages to live country music. And the drive is scenic!

Take 74 E out of Jasper for 1/2 miles. Turn left onto Little River Lane which quickly ends at the barn.
